On Saturday 11 October 2025a few enthusiastic members of Fotokring Gamma Tielt set off towards Ghent Seaport. It was an exciting photographic outing full of industrial atmosphere, impressive infrastructure, and enjoyable moments together.
Before we entered the port itself, we made a stop in Wondelgem, where work is currently underway on the new bridge. Although the construction site is not accessible, we were able to catch a glimpse of the impressive structure taking shape from across the road. The lines, structures, and machines provided a beautiful preview of what the day had to offer.
Afterwards, we headed towards Ghent Seaport, where the combination of water, steel, ships, and industrial activity provided endless photographic inspiration. From wide-angle shots to close-ups – each member found their own angle to capture the unique atmosphere of the place.
As always, there was some discussion afterwards, ideas were exchanged, and plans were made for the next outing. In short: a successful day full of photography, friendship, and discovery!
