Three passionate photographers, including two members of Fotokring Gamma Tielt, recently offered eight couples the unique opportunity to relive the most beautiful day of their lives. In the atmospheric setting of the Sint-Alphonsus Chapel in Wakken, the wedding clothes were taken out for an impressive photoshoot.

A stately setting

The idea arose with an eye to the future: the municipality of Dentergem intends to eventually open the chapel as an alternative location for civil weddings. Members of Fotokring GammaEddy Herman, Jean-Claude Casteleinand their colleagueMarc Lagrangeseized this opportunity and transformed the chapel into a professional photo studio.

Craftsmanship in three scenes

The chapel was divided into three unique sets, each with its own composition and lighting. The photographers spread out over these locations and guided the couples through various poses.

  • The approach:For each scene, four poses were adopted, with the interaction between the couples and the historical surroundings at the centre.

  • The result:After careful post-processing, the participants receive their photos in A4 format as a lasting memory.

To be continued?

The results speak for themselves: the combination of the authentic brick walls, the stained glass windows, and the warm chandeliers created images with a timeless elegance.

If there is sufficient interest, the photographers are already looking forward to a possible continuation of this project. Enjoy some atmosphere images from this successful day below!
